A specialist advisory practice for the power sector
V7 Energy Consulting is a boutique consulting firm providing regulatory, tariff, commercial, financial modelling and policy advisory services to the power and energy sector.
We work with power generators, utilities and distribution licensees, transmission and system-operation entities, renewable and storage developers, and regulatory institutions — supporting them on the regulatory and commercial questions that determine tariffs, revenues and contractual outcomes.
Assignments are led directly by senior practitioners, which keeps analysis close to the underlying data and the applicable regulatory framework.

Leadership
Rajranjan Jha
Director & FounderRajranjan founded V7 Energy Consulting in 2025, after four years of energy-sector consulting on regulatory advisory, tariff modelling and financial analysis for thermal and hydro power projects across CERC and SERC jurisdictions. He is currently engaged with a State Electricity Regulatory Commission on draft tariff regulations, providing technical analysis and drafting support.
His work spans MYT and true-up petitions, analysis of tariff orders to identify cost-recovery gaps, stakeholder comments on draft regulations, analytical support to legal counsel in regulatory and APTEL proceedings, and the financial assessment of environmental compliance mandates such as FGD installation and ash-utilisation norms.
